Dear Parents,

As we know, snow and very cold weather is forecast over the next week. As always, we will endeavour to remain open but if there are changes to nursery opening hours (including closure,
these will be published on the website and parents will be sent an SMS message.

With the exceptionally cold temperatures forecast, the staff will use their discretion when outdoors to ensure the children do not get painfully cold. All children will need:
· a hat
· gloves
· spare socks to put on inside their wellies and a spare pair of dry socks to change into after snow play
· wellies (or snow boots if you have them)
Given the extreme cold, children may need additional layers of clothing and bring in suitable warmer outside clothing to keep them as warm as possible.

If you are concerned about your journey to nursery, please only set out if you feel safe to do so. If there is a significant amount of snow during the nursery day and you are worried, please feel free to pick your children up earlier.
